New family member
Okay, this has nothing to do with ceramic horses, but I had to share this picture of our newest pet, "Napoleon". Well, he actually belongs to my oldest son. Brandon had lost his much-loved leopard gecko, Stradivarius, last year and had been on the fence about what pet he might like next. I had a strong preference for something with fur, and I probably wasn't playing fair when I showed him these Roborovski hamsters. How could we not take one home?

Darling! What's his name? (sounds like your son picks cool names)
We had the same kind of hamster named Napoleon, only ours was grey in color :)
OMG...he is such a cutie! I have always had a weakness for those big hammie eyes!
O M GOSH!!! The cuteness meter just exploded!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! I never wanted a hamster till this very moment....that is one amazingly adorable little bugger! Enjoy!
Roborovskis are so cool! They do tend to be social fellows though, and usually do better in pairs. I can't convince hubby I need a couple though. Can't complain as he finally let me get my rats. He used to be afraid of then but now he sneaks behind my back to give them snacks! :-)
I did worry that he might be lonely, but he was the only one in the cage. The articles I have read said that it is chancey to introduce a new Robo, and that they are better solitary if they aren't paired off young.
He is a very gentle little guy. Not entirely tame yet, but not especially nervous of people either. And he is irresistably cute. My husband swears he looks like a fur-covered ping pong ball!
