( I also have some of this pink translucent sheet wax that is kind of soft.. you can engrave into it really easy with a tool...and if you ever wanted to make a really thin background or cut out shapes.. it works great and you can see thru it so it if you want to trace a drawing you can see right thru to the drawing... ....) they have round, half round, and square of the wires.. I need to order some square as I only have some round at the moment.. the nice thing is the stuff last for a long time.. I also use to for making sprues on the feet of stablemate size sculpts when im making the molds.. the stuff works great! I could order sprue wax but why bother when this works and i can use it over and over..I always save the pieces plus I also save the resin wire I break off the feet after casting so I can use that instead of the wax if i need to...
you know using other supplies form other areas of art.. like jewelry making makes it so much easier to make some stuff.. no reason you cant combine the 2!
Rebecca TurnerBecky Turnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08918941303698200752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5766578391965119860.post-991243271658868352009-11-18T16:40:47.675-05:002009-11-18T16:40:47.675-05:00Wax wire?
